Eyeglass Lenses

It is important to select a lens design that meets your dynamic vision needs. Consider your daily tasks, from reading and computer work to driving and outdoor recreation. Lenses of high optical quality can help better meet your needs. Opticians can help you decide on the best lens options for your vision. From progressive lens options to single vision lenses, they can help you decide what products will give you the best vision.

Frame Styles

Your frames are an extension of your style, and choosing the correct ones can be a difficult task. The shape, color, size, and fit of the frames are all important to consider. Helping you select a frame that complements your features and brings you confidence in your appearance is something we enjoy and take pride in at Northview Eye. That is why we provide you with the widest selection of frame options.

Most people need more than one pair of glasses to meet their vision needs: A pair for everyday wear and another for outdoor activities or a pair for computer work are common. Having different styles for different activities and outfits makes wearing glasses enjoyable and can set your appearance apart.

Sunglasses

Prescription sunglasses are commonly overlooked, but can be a game changer for your vision and style. They provide protection from harmful UV radiation which has been linked to cataract development and retinal damage. With polarization, sunglasses can reduce glare from the dash of your car, the surface of the water on the lake, and other glare sources like the screen of your phone.

Special tinting can also be applied for different lighting conditions or activities. We can provide lenses to help you see when you are on the golf course, out on the lake, or playing in the snow. Having the right kind of lenses can reduce eye strain and fatigue from squinting. They can also provide a richer visual experience with deeper and bolder colors. Anti-Reflective Lenses

When light passes through your glasses, it reflects off the front and back surface of the lenses. This will frequently cause the wearer to experience glare and reflections. A special coating called anti-reflective coating (commonly abbreviated to “AR”) can help reduce this distracting glare.

With a quality AR coating, we can even target specific wavelengths of light to prevent them from harming your eyes. Many people are spending more and more time during the day interacting with screens which expose their eyes to blue light (computers, tablets, TV, cell phones). Blue blocking AR coating is a common way to reduce the amount of blue light we are exposed to from our various screens.
